Talha used emails, Orkut extensively

NAGPUR: Sleuths have retrieved around eight email IDs and several log-ins of various social networking sites of the net-savvy terror suspect Aamir Talha arrested on Sunday.
They believe that Talha may have around 20 IDs of different email services and social networking sites. They will help establish not just Talha’s links with other accused and suspects but also how the terror module communicated.
Some of these IDs are yourstalha@gmail.com, obstinatesam@gmail.com, osama.aamir@gmail.com (his brother’s account), talhaaam@aol.com, talha.aamir@wipro.com and talha.aamir@ubs.com, They are learnt to have provided ample evidence of his linkages to others in the alleged module of Delhi-based Indian Mujahideen (IM) being held reponsible for blasts in Delhi, Bangalore, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad as also for Surat bombs that did not go off. Talha’s address books in these accounts had the names of Atif Ameen, Shadab Baig, Mohammed Shakil, Saquib Nisar, Zia ur Rehman, Saif, Asadullah Akhtar and others. Most of these names, according to sources, came up during interrogation of the arrested terrorists held after Batla House encounter.
The email contents suggest influence of radical Islamic thoughts on Talha. “True meaning of Jihad” is one of the most circulated topic of Talha. He had also circulated gory images of Mumbai train blasts among his contacts. The e-mails suggest Talha was telling his friends not to let anyone know of his association with Masood Ras, Khalid Nisar Ansari and others.
Cops came across the name ‘Azhar Siddiqui’ in the emails sent and received by Talha. Talha seemed in regular touch with Siddiqui and appeared to be receiving regular guidance from him. Cops think Siddiqui may be one of the seniors in the module.
Talha appeared active on social networking sites. His Gmail accounts have been used on Orkut as well. On his Orkut account, scraps of Atif Ameen, Shadab Baig, Arif khan alias Junaid, Asadullah Akhtar, Adnan Alam and others were found. Talha was in touch with every one of his group regularly and kept communicating vital details. Talha has commented on the images of Saquib Nisar and Adnan Alam. These people used Jaxtr.com as well to communicate among each other.
Apart from his contacts, sleuths have also come to know of Talha’s insurance policies, travel plans (he had booked and cancelled an e-ticket through IRTC) and his other professional details.
